The Horsemanship Award
The Horsemanship Award is for the CCEA member that best represented the values of CCE at each competition. Participants nominate and vote for the winner. It could be awarded for showing skill, knowledge, empathy, sportsmanship, inclusivity and it can go to any participant - competitor, official, volunteer, supporter, organizer, jump judge, etc. It’s a “Thanks for being a good person.” And it’s a small reminder of what we’re all about in CCE: CCE is designed around accessibility and flexibility so more people and horses can participate. The competition is designed to develop horsemanship skills and the partnership between horse and rider. CCE promotes a healthier balance of competitiveness and participation so the horse is always the priority. We’re creating an inclusive, supportive and connected community that shares appreciation and respect for the horse.
